By: Jimmy Appleson

This article gives an insight on acne and how to take effective measures against this problem.

Acne is a very common skin disorder, varying in form from small red dots to large cysts. Those different types of acne can develop from one to another. According to statistical data, almost all people suffer from acne at some point of their life, and it's not just teenagers as nearly 50% of adult women develop acne and 25% of adult men.

As oppose to what most people think, skin acne is not just a problem that occurs during puberty, it can actually affect individuals aged 20 or older. We all want to look good and because of that having acne, especially in its severe forms can be really depressing for some people. But don't despair, there is plenty of research that's being done on this problem and scientists have come up with all those new products that can help you out.

People get acne when blocked skin pores prevent the sebum oil from getting to the surface, as a result of which bacteria begins to grow. Acne can be classified as mild, moderate or severe. The treatment depends on the type of acne as each one of those three types requires a different approach. Remember that although acne is absolutely curable, there is no magical product that will cure you in two days.

The following tips can help you out. Acne outbreaks are often caused by over-exposure to sun, especially in the summer, therefore try to avoid sun-bathing and always apply sunscreen with a high factor. Since acne occurs when the sebum oil is blocked by clogged pores, always clean your skin and remove dead skin. With a proper skin cleanser and a sunscreen, you will have a fairly good chance.

Skin acne products are available in abundance online. Products are plenty, but which one do you choose? That's the question most people ask and although it varies from one individual to another, it's believed that some skin acne products are much better and more effective than others.

Clearasil Acne Fighting Foaming Cleanser is a very popular skin acne treatment product, contains 2% Salicylic Acid, a proven anti-acne agent and exfoliant. The pHaze 33 Acne Cream is for people with sensitive skin, designed to treat mild acne. The Microderm Clear Skin Microderm Abrasion Cream is the only all natural microderm that gently removes dead skin. ProActiv is a whole system including a renewing cleanser, revitalizing toner, and repairing lotion.

Those are just some of the well known brands in the skin care industry, but nevertheless, it's always better to check on your condition with a dermatologist, before buying or applying anything. This a treatable skin disorder, but that doesn't mean that all of them will work for you. Always read the label and check the content.
